About us

The idea for Mibodyfit was generated from a real experience in the gym with my newly-hired fitness trainer. Looking for dramatic results, I committed to working out four times a week: once with my trainer, as well as an additional three sessions on my own. We both agreed this was a good plan, but I soon realized the problem during my solo sessions. Besides my water bottle and towel, all I had with me was a piece of paper provided by my trainer which listed all my prescribed exercises. Even though we had just gone through these exercises together days before, I was still unfamiliar with the machines and the proper technique. Not confident that I’d recalled the exact way to execute the exercises, I fumbled through my solo sessions. At the end of the week, I felt frustrated and dejected. I knew my fitness goals were ambitious, and I worried that my initial experience would hamper my enthusiasm and drive.

At our next meeting, I voiced my concern to my trainer. After a energetic discussion, we agreed that it would be beneficial to have a multi-media reference to maximize and organize my work-outs.

Thus, Mibodyfit was born.

When designing the Mibodyfit on-line fitness program, our team was committed to creating a tool that was simple and easy to use. Because all fitness enthusiasts and trainers have their own style and technique, our system had to provide a customized experience. We wanted to create an on-line source where a trainer could develop a plan based on their client’s unique objectives. In addition, it was important that the client had instant access to their workouts and progress, regardless of where they were. For enthusiasts who do not use personal trainers, we wanted a fitness resource center which would provide details on how to perform hundreds of stock exercises.

Also, the platform would help a gym participant on how to schedule and organize custom work-outs and then keep them on file for future reference. We also wanted to create a member forum, to initiate an opportunity for members and trainers from around the world to share fitness information, ideas and inspiration.

Our main goal was to develop a superior system that left the traditional system of a spiral notebook or single piece of paper behind. The days of describing and logging specific exercises with a pen and paper are over. Furthermore, our system had to be portable so our members could use their iPhone and iPod-Touch anywhere – at their own gym, at a hotel gym, or even in their parent’s basement when home for Christmas.

All of this had to come in a simple and inter-active package, and we truly believe we’ve succeeded! We hope we can contribute in motivating you to reach your fitness objectives in a an smooth, efficient and exciting way.
